With each day it has become more and more apparent that the cold harsh winter draws closer. It's days like today when I wish I was out in California not having to worry about going out in this weather. The other day I went out and bought the new Thursday cd/dvd "Kill The House Lights". The CD portion of the set is nothing amazing although it does feature a live version of Signals Over The Air and the demo version of Paris In Flames. The DVD portion of the set on the other hand is everything I could've hoped for, the DVD is about 2 hours long and features live footage of the band throughout their career and approximately 40 minutes of documentary footage for each of the bands 4 CDs. If you consider yourself a fan of Thursday then you'll definitely need to go pick this up.
On a much sadder note, Casey Calvert, guitarist for Hawthorne Heights passed away in his sleep last week. I had the privilege of meeting Casey on several occasions and can attest that he was an amazing person. He managed to always seem to be in a good mood and all around happy person as well as being a talented musician. Unfortunately there have also been other deaths in the family that I'd rather not go into but the holiday season has already had its fair share of loss. So I'd like to take this time to express my sympathy for all of those that we've lost and wish that everyone stays happy and safe through the season.
