The Return of The Niña

In case you are wondering, La Niña is the exact opposite of El Niño. With a La Niña, the average ocean temperature is .5° c cooler than normal. Also, the effects on the weather are generally the opposite of El Niño. All important information? Maybe not. But if you live in the Colorado area, you probably knew most of this information on La Niña.

In the winter of 1998, a La Niña storm caused a record amount of snow. The Mt. Baker Ski resort recorded 1140 inches, the most snow recorded in one year anywhere ever. This winter was able to be captured by Sam Giffin and Ryan Fenson-Hood in the film "The Return Of The Niña". The films is brought to you by the Right On Brothers and Studio 411 and the original score was done by my cousin Justin Marchacos. So, check this movie out, especially if you have an interest in skiing or snowboarding (or record breaking weather), you won't be disappointed. To order a copy of "The Return of The Niña" go to Studio 411's website.
